November 2025 - Doherty Cup Win

This afternoon, Millburn PS booked their place in the quarter finals of The Doherty Cup following a commanding 6–0 victory over Bushvalley Primary School. Despite a slow start, Millburn soon found their rhythm thanks to slick attacking play and a crucial save from goalkeeper, Newman, early on.

The breakthrough came courtesy of long range shot from McClean, who opened the scoring, before Johnston added two well-taken goals to give Millburn a 3–0 lead at the interval. At the back, the defensive trio of Martin, Boreland and Golligher stood firm, ensuring Bushvalley’s attack was kept at bay throughout the half.

The second half saw Millburn step up their performance even further. The pace and energy of McCorriston, Black and Cahoon continually stretched the Bushvalley defence, creating numerous chances.

The depth of the squad was evident as Dunlop, Warke and Davidson each made an immediate impact, scoring a goal apiece to seal the win. Glenn also impressed with a composed display in defence after being introduced.

Millburn’s all-round team effort secured a 6–0 victory and a well-deserved place in the quarter finals. The boys showed resilience, creativity and strength in depth, leaving their supporters and coaches proud of their performance.

We would like to wish Bushvalley PS best wishes for the rest of the season.
